What we aim to solve
Islamophobia, which is an unfounded fear of Muslims that causes various forms of injustices, is a growing problem in America and around the world. These problems include workplace discrimination, school bullying, political disenfranchisement, media bias, harassment in public places, immigration benefit delays and denials, law enforcement profiling, and hate crimes.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Civil Rights Advocacy
We receive cases on reports of discrimination issues and issues of concern regarding Muslim Americans. If possible we advocate on the client's behalf to resolve the situation but if that is unsuccessful we may see outside legal assistance.

Provide Know Your Right workshops across North Texas.
Provide legal representation to Muslims facing legal challenges in North Texas.
Engage with the NTX community to build bridges of understanding.
To develop owned media channels to highlight Muslim contributions in NTX.
To develop community assets for greater media outreach.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
CAIR-DFW employs professional staff to address each area of concern. This includes an Executive Director with more than 20 years of experience and nearly a decade in nonprofit leadership, a civil rights attorney as the organization's Legal Director, and an accomplished author and Islamic educator as its Outreach Director.
