What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Hombres Contra Feminicidio

Hombres Contra Feminicido (Men Against Feminicide) uses training materials from the International White Ribbon Campaign to empower young adults in Guatemala to question the root causes of violence against women. Program facilitators lead workshops in grade schools, at the National Civil Police Training Academy, and at the University of San Carlos where they lead other students in becoming conscious of the difference experiences that shape how men and women interact in their communities and how the gender stereotypes imposed by the traditional values of their societies impedes their ability to live out their full potential and engenders attitudes that condone violence against women. With this project, MIA is contributing to forming a new generation that respects all their fellow citizens, values gender equality and condemns gender-based violence.
