What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Grocery Program
The Emergency Aid Coalition (EAC) also provides a Sack Grocery Program at it's Fannin operations that serves Harris County individuals and families in need without zip code restriction. Emergency focused, the EAC provided over 8,000 sacks of groceries to families in need in 90+ zip codes in Harris County in 2018.
Sack Lunch Program
Our Lunch Program provides a sack lunch to all individuals who come at our Fannin St facility mid-day - six days a week. The EAC provides over 70,000 lunches a year.
Clothing Center
The Emergency Aid Coalition Clothing Center provides free clothing to working families and homeless and disabled individuals in Harris County. We provide a generous number of clothing items per person including pants (or skirts/dresses), shirts, T-shirts, undergarments, shoes, socks, belts and extras such as hats, ties, purses, scarves, back-packs, and more when available.
School Supplies & Clothing Program
In early August of each year age-appropriate school supplies, backpacks and uniforms (or vouchers with local merchants) are supplied to school children.
