STATEMENT FROM THE Executive Director

"The Cavalla Historical Foundation and the American Undersea Warfare Center take great honor and pride in presenting two unique examples of WWII warfare, the USS Cavalla submarine and USS Stewart destroyer-escort. Through these, and other undersea warfare artifacts, we are able to show what life was like on and under the high seas during WWII. We know that visitors from all over the world will glean a greater understanding of what our greatest generation of patriots underwent in terms of lost privacy, facing enduring threats and danger, and the drive to protect the freedoms that we so truly hold dear. We hope everyone will take the time to visit, and help us through volunteering on board or through a donation, so that we may continue our important mission of preserving our piece of history."
