Research

We advance RESEARCH. We have partnered with the CDC and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health to: Support groundbreaking research about the impact of intimate partner violence; Explore evidence-based prevention strategies, programs, and policies; and Inform legislation at the local and national levels.

Population(s) Served
Adults

Between Us is an innovative, comprehensive and integrated public health initiative to promote safe and healthy relationships and prevent intimate partner violence. Leading with a primary message that "it's between all of us to help prevent Intimate Partner Violence (IPV)," Between Us employs three core features to provide communities with the tools they want and need to build and sustain strong IPV prevention advocacy campaigns: 1) Communicate to increase public awareness about IPV in the community; 2) Connect to promote community collaboration in providing resources and support for IPV prevention; and 3) Care to educate and train communities about why and how to prevent IPV. Specialized curricula are created to address the needs of employers, healthcare, schools, youth organizations, social services and faith-based organizations.

Population(s) Served
Adults

At Saving Promise, we support community-based advocacy initiatives to prevent Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) through our Friends of Promise program. The IPV problem is all around us - it's a silent epidemic that affects family, friends, colleagues, neighbors and communities. Our Friends of Promise program is a grassroots initiative to increase the scale of reaching more people in order to build greater awareness. This initiative inspires individuals and groups to pledge their time, talents and treasure to help increase the number of IPV advocates in various communities. Friends of Promise serve in one or more of the following roles: Change Agents are individuals who host virtual salon events to help educate their family, friends and communities and raise funds for Saving Promise's mission critical programs; Ambassadors are groups that engage their members through virtual salon events, learning, training and fundraising efforts; and Champions are individuals and organizations who commit financial resources to aid in effecting IPV prevention.

Population(s) Served
Adults

We advance MULTI-SECTOR COLLABORATION. We serve as a convener in the IPV prevention movement to: Share insights and best practices with community partners and stakeholders; Build synergies with existing efforts and disciplines; and Mobilize to work smarter, not harder.
