What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Career/Entrepreneur Development
Through our in-class career development training workshops, our strategy is to analyze the needs of the community and local businesses and tailor the program to meet present and future skill needs.
By empowering the young adults with information and training that is desired by employers now and in the future we are creating a workforce that has traditionally been underrepresented in the largest growth sectors of service, high-tech, and health-related industries. In conjunction with our partners we will work with our clients to help them create a resume, improve their interviewing skills and provide referrals to businesses in the Greater Houston area.
Beyond Careers will conduct entrepreneur training workshops. The client would need to have access to a computer. The prerequisite for these workshops will be that the client needs to go to Beyond Careers’ website: www.beyondcareers.org(http://www.beyondcareers.org/) to register for our workshops. An on-line business assessment key will be sent to clients accepted into the program. The assessment will give them some insight into self-employment opportunities they may want to consider. Before the client actually starts the in-class entrepreneur training workshops, they will research the business they are interested in pursuing. Those individuals who are interested in being self-employed will be able to take those transferable skills and eventually become business owners.
