What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Site Based Mentoring

Site based programs are made possible through partnerships with the YMCA and Boys & Girls Clubs. This program allows matches to meet within the safety of a site-based program, two to three times a month, with the latitude of multiple activity centers and opportunities.

Population(s) Served
Children and youth

The Community program has successfully provided children with positive role models for over a hundred years. This traditional match program provides an opportunity to spend time exploring a large variety of community activities with a young person. The impact lasts forever.

Population(s) Served
Children and youth

One of our most efficient programs is our school mentoring program, which matches one child with one caring adult or teen mentor. They meet each week at the elementary school during the lunch break or after school. The school mentoring program allows us to match children whose home life might not be stable enough to be matched in our community program, which involves a higher-level of parent participation. It also allows our professional staff to monitor and support more matches at a central location. Because the program takes place at the school it is also important that we provide a variety of activities and opportunities that help stimulate their engagement. Activity boxes are placed at the schools and the materials renewed several times during the year.

Population(s) Served
