What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Gene Franchini High School Mock Trial

Annually, hundreds of students across New Mexico are engaged in CCV’s mock trial program for several months of the academic year. Students actively experience the excitement of working in teams, exchanging ideas, setting goals, and examining issues while interacting with positive role models from their communities. By studying the case and preparing opening statements, direct and cross-examinations, and closing arguments, students also learn to think on their feet, to take and defend either side of an issue, to hone their presentation skills, and to improve their written and oral communication skills.
