Mission

Hacienda, Inc. was founded in 1967 as Hacienda de los Angeles. The initial focus of the organization was to provide residential care for medically fragile, developmentally disabled children. Hacienda, Inc.'s mission is to enrich the lives of individuals with special needs in a home-like atmosphere, to acknowledge each individual and each family as unique with distinct needs. To improve the standards in our community by providing the highest quality of care. To generate measurable benefits for all of our clients and residents with the commitment of staff, volunteers and the community.

HACIENDA ICF-ID

Arizona's first and only private, nonprofit, intermediate care facility for people with intellectual disabilities. This 61-bed residential facility offers children and adult with special needs a long-term residential care program, transition-to-home program and a respite care program.

Population(s) Served

Hacienda's DTA program provides therapeutic and recreational services as to nearly 30 developmentally disabled young adults each day. Our goal is to provide each person with individualized and focused care in order to maximize each individual's fullest developmental potential.

Hacienda HealthCare provides support for seven licensed Group Homes within residential neighborhoods throughout the Phoenix Metro Area. Five of those Group Homes have 24-hour nursing and care-giving support, while two of them are Non-Medical homes that are also staffed with 24 hour trained caregivers.

This program aims to help young adults with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) develop the practical skills they need to increase their confidence, employability, and ability to live independently by creating an opportunity to learn a vocation and gain meaningful work.
