Education and Outreach Programs - The Arizona Historical Society (AHS) is an institutional sponsor and state coordinator for National History Day in Arizona (NHD) NHD makes history come alive for students and teachers by engaging them in the discovery of the historical, cultural, scientific and social experiences of the past. Through in-depth research, project-based learning, hands on experiences, and presentations; AZ students are better prepared to inform the present and shape the future.

Museums - The Arizona Historical Society museums provide historical exhibitions for visitors, researchers and students. The exhibitions are changed to provide a different experience each time you visit This year the new exhibits included: Portraits of Courage - A Commander in Chiefs Tribute to America's Warriors, a special exhibit from the George W. Bush Institute, A Place for all People, John Slaughter's Changing West, Willard J Page Artist on the Southwest Road, Clues - History Mysteries of Yu

Publications - Published four quarterly issues of the 'Journal of Arizona History' (JAH) as required by ARS 41-763. These issues included 13 original research articles, which substantially add to our collective knowledge of AZ history. They also include 65 book reviews of important books on AZ, western and US history, allowing our readership to be aware of relevant books of interest. All issues of the JAH from 1960-2015 are available on JSTOR
