Mission

THE ORGANIZATION'S PURPOSE IS TO OPERATE AND MAINTAIN THE BAINBRIDGE PUBLIC LIBRARY BUILDING AND GROUNDS. THE FACILITIES WERE DONATED BY THE PEOPLE OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND IN 1961 AND CONTINUES TO BE FUNDED BY CONTRIBUTIONS RAISED THROUGH EFFORTS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES. THE LIBRARY IS OPERATED BY KITSAP REGIONAL LIBRARY, A SEPARATE INDEPENDENT ORGANIZATION, WHICH PROVIDES MATERIALS, STAFF, AND TECHNICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT.
