What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Emerson High School
Independant and Transitional Living
This program provides assistance to youth in acquiring the necessary skills to become self-sufficient adults. We offer community based mentorship style services and monthly group work-shops. This program provides hands-on life skills training and support for youth who are in foster care, exiting foster care, juvenile justice or other programs serving at-risk youth.
Foster Care
Offering a variety of services to children and families including licensing certification, pre-service training in a group or individualized setting, continuous support through case management, 24-hour on-call support, respite care, ongoing foster parent training and financial compensation. There are no fees to foster parents or foster-to-adopt families.
Triple P Positive Parenting Program
This program offers professional intervention services for families at-risk of their child(ren) being removed from the home. We provide parents with simple and practical strategies to help them confidently manage their child’s behavior, prevent problems from developing and build strong healthy relationships.
Supplemental Educational Transition Planning
Through this program, we provide one-on-one
assistance for current and former foster youth, ages 14 through 18, in pursuing, persisting in and completing a plan for post-secondary education at no cost to them. This is achieved through information sharing,
coordination with high school counselors and links to other services and programs.
