YOUTH DYNAMICS
Let's Adventure Together!

What we aim to solve
Youth are hardwired for relationship, adventure, and purpose—however, today’s culture is offering them the opposite. For example, teens are twice as likely as adults to identify as atheists; teens spend half the time outdoors as their parents at the same age; and suicide, sexual identity issues, pornography, peer pressure, and bullying are more prevalent. (Source: Barna Research Group, 2018) Youth Dynamics engages today’s youth culture head-on by offering relevant and powerful life-changing opportunities. We connect youth to authentic community and caring adults. We challenge youth to step out of their comfort zone and fall in love with God and His creation. We offer leadership opportunities and the kind of adventures youth are born to experience. Most importantly, we invite them to know and follow Christ.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Youth Dynamics
Youth Dynamics has been committed to reaching youth since 1970. Our work focuses on utilizing outdoor adventure to promote relationships, individual and spiritual growth, leadership skills, personal character growth, and community engagement. Our adventure activities are all professionally guided and follow the highest standards within the industry. These programs include rock climbing, white water rafting, kayaking, backpacking, mountaineering, and horsemanship.
Each area of Youth Dynamics looks for the specific needs of the community and invests there. This includes rural services, work with youth in the criminal justice systems, and partnerships with local clubs, churches, and schools.
Youth Dynamics Adventures
At the heart of Youth Dynamics Adventures is the desire to spread the love of Christ with youth here in the Pacific Northwest, using adventure and creation to inspire growth and transformation.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
The goal of Youth Dynamics is to impact more lives by expanding locations from 14 in 2020 to 24 by 2025; recruit and train more staff and volunteers, and to increase financial health to facilitate growth throughout the entire organization.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Youth Dynamics has four core ministries to reach youth:
1. Middle and High School Outreach: Building relationships and seeking out youth as they are in their local communities, we offer after-school clubs, Bible studies, mentoring, and outreach events.
2. Adventures: Using God’s creation as a learning and growing environment, we offer youth the adventures of a lifetime. Adventure ministry quickly moves the needle spiritually, emotionally, and physically in ways few other experiences can. We offer a wide range of high-quality and professionally guided adventures for both YD students and outside groups.
3. Challenges: Using portable experiential learning activities, we offer groups custom full- and half-day challenges that are fun and achieve transformational outcomes that make a long-term difference.
4. Retreats: Stonewater, our beautiful 158-acre facility, is tucked in the heart of the Cascades near Leavenworth. We offer adventure trips, leadership development, and retreats for youth, young adults, and leaders. We create a variety of opportunities to build deep relationships, develop character, and strengthen faith in Christ!
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
School outreach is about building relationships with youth. We connect with students on their campuses, at sporting events, and at other high school hangouts. We also open the doors of our facilities for drop-in times. We create events that will foster depth in relationships and provide opportunities for students to hear about Jesus Christ. We also utilize wilderness adventure opportunities. We operate in areas throughout the Northwest. Our goal is to work together with local churches as a bridge between teens and the local church.
At the heart of Adventures is the desire to spread the love of Christ with youth here in the Pacific Northwest, using adventure and creation to inspire growth and transformation. More than a “camp,” we are a people and a mission. We are your technical guides, your entertainment, and your leaders in scripture studies, starlit worship, and more. The best thing we have going for us is our loving Father God and His guidance, as we custom create each experience for every single group. That’s right; we don’t work from boxed scripts. No trip is the same! We just want to help meet the needs of your group, whether you are trying to create unity in your church youth group or build community in your school, group home, Christian group, or youth-related organization. Whatever the case, we’re here to revive hearts for Christ!
Stonewater is Youth Dynamic’s 158-acre youth ministry facility tucked in the heart of the Cascades, just a short drive from Leavenworth, WA. We facilitate adventure trips, leadership development, and retreats for teens, young adults, and youth workers.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
In 2020, Youth Dynamics expanded its presence by launching new ministries in Rochester and Okanogan, Washington, and Horseshoe Bend, Idaho. In 2021, we expanded into Emmett, Idaho. In addition, 12 new staff are in the process of raising support to either start new ministry areas or build teams in existing locations. It has been a challenge due to COVID-19. However, through various efforts, Youth Dynamics saw an increase in new donors, donor retention rates, and the number of donations given by individuals. We feel very blessed.
