Program 1

Mount Erie for the construction of Picket Park.

Expenses
$43,969
Revenue
$0

In 2019 through the generosity of two major donors, we accomplished construction of the field house by the football field at Anacortes High School. This was a $1 million project and was one of our largest single projects to date. Planning continues on the Guemes Channel Trail, a major focus of the foundation for several years. Activity there has been hampered by COVID, but recently an important easement was granted by an adjacent homeowner, and more are planned. Both mayoral candidates are supportive of moving forward with planning and construction of the trail. Plans were made in 2020 for construction of new restroom facilities at Washington Park. Construction is anticipated in late 2021. Pickett Pocket Park was constructed in late 2020 and completed in 2021. More pocket parks are under consideration.

Expenses
$35,396
Revenue
$0

Virtually all of the annual activities supported by the foundation were still suspended in 2020; however, the 4th of July fireworks display resumed in 2021. We hope to be back to a more normalized schedule in the latter part of 2021 and into 2022 with Breakfast with Santa, Winter Wonderland Walk, Bark in the Park, Kids R Best Fest and many others.

Expenses
