Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County

BGC Spokane serves school-age youth through a variety of Clubhouse-based programs, activities and services - including homework assistance, technology centers, teen centers, career exploration, job assistance, sports and recreation, art classes and leadership development, daily meals and snacks, health services, mentoring and field trips.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County aims to provide reliable, positive places for young people who most need a Club in their life, with programs, activities and services that impact their academic success, healthy lifestyles and good character and citizenship.

We aim to keep membership dues and program fees as affordable as possible and are proud to boast Spokane's Boys & Girls Clubs maintain the lowest fee structure not only locally, but also amongst all other Boys & Girls Clubs in Washington.

We aim to assure safe people, facilities, programs and procedures in and around our Clubs at all times, while following and adhering to quality-driven measures when planning, implementing and assessing our work.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County incorporates year-round and year-to-year strategies that include:
* dedicated facilities reserved for Club purposes;
* a wide variety of safe, quality-driven programs, activities and services that impact each member's academic success, lifestyle, character and citizenship;
* accessible and available year-round at times most needed by kids and teens;
* trained professional staff, supplemented by upstanding volunteers and community partnerships;
* keeping our dues and fee structure as low as possible so as not to create a financial barrier for challenged families;
* maintain a focus on serving kids and teens who need a Club in their lives.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County's capabilities for doing our work include:
* 19 years of experience in Spokane;
* affiliated in good standing with Boys & Girls Clubs of America;
* a longtime partner agency of United Way;
* a strong Board of Directors, recognized by Boys & Girls Clubs of America as one of the top 50 Boards amongst all Club organizations throughout the country;
* purposeful recruitment and outstanding retention of a qualified staff team at all levels of operation;
* viable financial operations with sound annual performance throughout our history;
* outstanding partnerships with quality organizations and institutions such as Gonzaga University, Communities In Schools, Second Harvest Food Bank, Spokane County Libraries, Mobius Science Center, Central Valley School District, Mead School District, Spokane Public Schools, Washington State University Extension, Bloomsday Run, Eastern Washington University, Partners Through Art;
* significant funding success with local, regional and national corporations and foundations;
* high-profile, high net special event fundraising;
* strategic planning that has moved the organization into its first capital campaign to rebuild facilities, expand services and increase funding capacity.
