Preparing Christian Leaders for Ministry
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
MINTS meets the need for the rapidly expanding faith by training leaders, pastors, and Christian workers. Since 2000 the Christian faith has grown exponentially around the world. Now 60% of all believers live in Asia, Africa, and South America. There are now more Presbyterians in Ghana than in Scotland and 11 provinces in Africa have more Anglicans than the rest of the world combined.
But, less than 5% of the pastors have any formal training at all leading to all manner of church error, theological heresy, abuse by self appointed leaders, and more. Though many come into the church, many leave because they can see that all is not right.
Most people cannot afford to study, nor can they leave their region to attend a regular school. We take the education to them. We do not charge tuition, though each local center may charge a limited amount and use it for the promotion of their school. Part is saved up for the starting of a new center when students graduate.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
MINTS Study Centers
Launching or establishing new responsible global theological distance education seminaries at the request of foreign national believers.
2018 Find Funding Professional
Need: Someone who helps us find interested people who want to share our vision and goals. They won't do all the fundraising but would help our international indigenous leaders become better through education and expansion.
Curriculum Writing and Translation
Our plan is to leave behind an entire BA, MA, and Doctoral Level of coursework in the language and culture of all the nations we serve. 78 currently in 13 languages. We have written 425 courses and now need to get the core courses (60 of them) into each language. Cost varies, around $1200 each.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our Goal is the spread the knowledge of God and his son to the whole world
by
starting educational centers wherever there are 8 interested students. We develop a local coordinator, provide the curriculum, provide the academic standards, provide the administrative software, visit each site to train both the leaders and students until the center reaches maturity (trained graduates). The graduates are equipped to train other and to multiply the centers. MINTS began with 1 center in 2001 and now there are 250+ operating in 75+ countries. 4,600 Graduates to date. There are currently more than 10,000 students and our goal is to grow to 50,000 students in five years (2023)
It is also our goal to leave behind a complete curriculum for BA, MA, and MDiv in each language where we have centers.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Secure more educated professors to help us train national believers. We find them by word of mouth and by asking Missions agencies if they have someone available.
Finalize our electronics/software plans for maintaining and growing the system.
Secure funding for administrative expansion and oversight.
Secure fundraising advice and assistance.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We are quite capable of meeting our goals if-
We keep our educational standards high and graduates leave thoroughly trained and motivated. As long was we continue to build in multiplication into the DNA of each graduate we will continue to grow. We have a tested methodology and it has enabled us to grow by 50% or more each year since adoption.
and if we don't grow too fast. We need to make sure we keep up the ability to properly mentor the students and the leaders. So far we have been able to do this by not advertising. Our growth has come solely by invitation - we are invited to start schools in different locations when people there are committed to join our program.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
MINTS started with 30 students in Miami, FL, USA in 2001. As we grew in both numbers and educational philosophy we branched out to other countries (by invitation).
Growth averaged close to 100% each year for 10 years. For the last 7 years it has averaged between 50-80%. We have accessed what has been our strength and have been continuing to build on it, thereby given us strong leadership for the future. There are over 4,600 graduates to date and 10,000 students actively studying at any one time.
We have met some of our key, but ongoing, goals along the way. The quality of the education, numeric growth, growth in the number of centers, growth in the number of courses (from 0 to 460 currently in 13 languages). the acceptance of graduates in multiple denominations.
