What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Mental Health Treatment
Cascadia provides a variety of health services to assist adults in improving their quality of life and managing their mental health symptoms. The adult program provides whole health care, including on-site primary care in addition to behavioral health treatment. We work with our clients by assessing their needs and developing a treatment plan which may include evidence-based individual and group therapy and medication management. We also provide case management, support focused on advocacy, community referrals and additional resources for success including supported employment.
Services provided: care coordination, community based care, drug and alcohol addiction treatment, individual and group therapy, medication management, peer services, skills training, supported employment and primary care. It includes services for adults, children, families and older adults.
Addiction Recovery Services
Cascadia offers alcohol and drug outpatient services for adults, including individual therapy with professional counselors helping to cope with past trauma, mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety, education on the effects of substances, relapse prevention, and building effective relationships.
We offer women’s groups, men’s groups and culturally specific groups for African Americans, and the LGBTQ community.
We also offer problem gambling programs and DUII diversion and conviction services to aid in completing requirements.
Crisis Intervention
Services include:
Project Respond a mobile mental health crisis team for Portland and Gresham who work on integrated teams with those police departments.
The Crisis Team which includes ED liaisons, shelters, outreach at the Multnomah County library, family crisis stabilization and peer services.
The Urgent Walk-in Clinic
Community Supports and Services
Includes the Housing Outreach Team, the Street Outreach Team, Supported Employment and wellness programs.
Housing Resources
Affordable housing and properties, permanent supportive housing and licensed residential treatment programs.
Peer Wellness
Peer Wellness Services are composed of individuals who have lived experiences with mental health and/or substance abuse challenges. Each Peer Wellness Specialist (PWS) goes through an intensive state-approved training program that teaches them to use their lived experience to provide advocacy and support for other individuals with similar challenges. PWS services promote engagement in therapeutic and wellness activities, both of which helps participants reach their goals.
Primary Care
We offer clients primary care services to help achieve the best healthcare results possible. Our team of primary care providers offer checkups and basic health treatment to help individuals maintain an overall healthy lifestyle. Now clients access a medical team that works alongside their behavioral health team to support all of their healthcare needs. By addressing primary medical care — such as hypertension, asthma, diabetes — we can improve the “whole health” of our clients, and the well-being of our community.
Specialty Mental Health
Programs that provide services for incarcerated or under jurisdiction of Multnomah County's Department of Justice.
