YGA Programs
The focus of YGA's services is our three residential programs. Each facility is staffed by professional staff, trained to work with a troubled population.
Son Village is a long-term program for fifteen boys. They range in age from 12 to 17 and the average stay is 9 months to one year. These young men are referred through the Oregon Youth Authority for delinquent behaviors. In addition, we offer treatment for gang-involvement, sex offending and fire-setting behaviors. Son Village was opened in 1969.
Our Charis Ridge Program also serves nine boys. It was changed in 2002 to provide long-term treatment services for young men. The average stay is approximately 9 months. This program was begun in 1974. 85% have experienced abuse (both physical and sexual). The average length of stay is 10 months
