What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

CASA of Linn County

Since 1987, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Linn County has been training everyday people to stand up for abused and neglected children in an overwhelmed and extremely under-resourced foster care system. CASA is a program of community volunteers who are sworn as officers of the court, and are responsible for investigating all aspects of the child’s life and report their findings to the court. This individualized interaction allows a more complete picture of the child’s needs and helps the judge make informed decision.
