Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Community Traffic Safety
The Community Traffic Safety Program (CTSP) maintains current information and provides support to over 61 local traffic safety committees and commissions. CTSP manages two mini-grant programs - Building Safer Communities and Safe Routes to School Action Plans providing over $77,000 in support. CTSP also facilitates opportunities to strengthen the network of advocates, share resources and impact public attitudes about traffic safety.
Child Safety Seat Resource Center
The Child Safety Seat Resource Center is the central point of contact for the public regarding child passenger safety (cps) information and referral, host National CPS Certification Training Courses, support over 550 certified cps technicians with ongoing training and technical assistance, coordinate over 160 public car seat check up events, and distribute over 1000 car seats at reduced cost to low income families. Support program development throughout Oregon. ACTS Oregon website and Traffic Safety Connection newsletters highlight community child passenger efforts, calendar of events and training, resources for cps technicians and educational materials for the general public.
