The YMCA of San Francisco builds strong kids, strong families and strong communities by enriching the lives of all people in spirit, mind and body. We stand for youth development, social responsibility and healthy living.
The Y is and always will be dedicated to building healthy, confident, connected and secure children, adults, families and communities. Every day our impact is felt when an individual makes a healthy choice, when a mentor inspires a child and when a community comes together for the common good.

Through its branches and community-based programs in four Bay Area counties, the YMCA of San Francisco provides: Child Care Mentoring and individual and family counseling for at-risk youth Health and wellness programs for all ages GED, job readiness an computer training Substance abuse prevention Social and recreational programs for older adults After-school tutoring Environmental education in the schools Youth sports and recreation Swimming instruction for all ages English tutoring for immigrants Resident and day camps
