Mission

For over 112 years, the mission of the Boy Scouts of America has been to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law through the following core principles: strengthen family relationships; foster self-esteem through personal achievement; teach healthy living skills; and develop a sense of personal and community responsibility.

Cub Scouts & Scouts BSA

Since its inception in 1910, The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) provides the nation’s foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training, which helps young people be “Prepared. For Life. ®”From once-in-a-lifetime adventures to merit badges that spark interests and future careers; from campouts under the stars to service projects that have lasting impact; Scouting expands horizons and provides young people with a safe and welcoming place to learn, grow, and thrive.They acquire life skills and gain experience that will prove to be valuable regardless of where they future takes them. All while having a blast: leadership, event-planning, organization, communication, responsibility, and the ability to maneuver difficult situations – the list goes on.
BSA programs are divided by age and activity: Cub Scouts is for boys and girls in K-5th grade, Scouts BSA is open to young men and women in grades 6-12.The Exploring program offers co-ed career oriented training.
