Program 1

Since 1958, Family Stations, Inc. - Family Radio has remained anon-commercial, non-profit radio and media ministry funded through thefinancial gifts of listeners and friends. Our mission is to declare theGospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Word of God, to bring comfort andhope through uplifting music, poignant stories that teach Biblical principles, and powerful biblical preaching. We endeavor to be a trusted refuge for the weary, a beacon of hope for the hopeless, and a source of reliable, biblical truth. We accomplish our mission in a variety of ways: by airing nationally known, reformed teachers; by broadcasting classic and modern hymns; by sharing short teaching features; and by telling stories that give our listeners hope. As a federal communications commission broadcast license holder, we recognize our responsibility to inform our listeners, as well as serve the local public interest as a public trustee. In addition to nationally syndicated programs, Family Radio producesseveral locally targeted outreaches and community service efforts. Forexample, Family Radio's on-air efforts include:Community Bridge: We believe that God calls believers to be hisambassadors of comfort and hope to our world. Community Bridge featureshost Jenny Burkhiser with other local programming staff who discusslocal issues and interview representatives from community organizationsas well as various ministries throughout the country.Life's Questions, God's Answers: Life poses many difficult questions.Thankfully, God has supplied the answers we need in His Word, theBible. On Life's Questions, God's Answers, Family Radio posesoften-asked questions that arise from daily life and turns to the Biblefor the answers.Family Bible Reading Fellowship: the foundation for Family Radio'sministry is the Bible. During Family Bible Reading Fellowship, theBible is read aloud without commentary. This half-hour program airsevery day of the week for listeners' edification and encouragement.Family Radio Prayer Team: Every month, the Family Radio networkreceives nearly 1,000 prayer requests from listeners. As a result, we have enlisted listeners through our website to join with Family Radioleadership and staff to pray for these requests.Conference & Concert Sponsors: In an ongoing effort to fulfill ourmission as a 501(c)(3) organization, Family Radio endeavors to reach people through various means, including Christian conferences and concerts. Most recently, Family Radio sponsored a concert at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN that brought in over 4,000 attendees.Web and Social Media Outreach: Family Radio averages approximately110,000 monthly visitors to the website: familyradio.org.Family Radio has been and continues to work with local pastorsand church leaders to assist, encourage and support their efforts inthe communities where they serve.
