What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Program 1

The Center provides year-round employment for youth with barriers to employment to carry out ecological, restoration and fire fuels management work to benefit to the community.- In 2019-2020, The Center's environmental crews carried out over 35 projects, lasting from one day to 3 months per project, in the following areas:- Fire Fuels Management, defensible space and roadside clearing;-10 week Fire School and field training to certify our crew members to participate in prescribed burns;-Watershed and stream restorations projects, including invasive plant removal; native species planning and monitoring;-Maintenance and trash pick up;-Native plant ecological landscaping and irrigation;-Growing organic fruits and vegetables and donating it to food banks;-General invasive species removal;-Community garden bed construction including irrigation and timersThe Center's environmental crews planted over 150 trees to reduce carbon emissions through providing shade trees, as well as planting public orchards to increase food security.

Vista Juvenile Alternative to Detention Program: The Center operates Sonoma County's first and only alternative to detention evening reporting center for court-ordered youth. These youth participate in numerous evidence-based, pro-social development opportunities, including the ART curriculum, structured to assist juvenile offenders to develop ethical values that reduce the likelihood of re-arrest. The evidence-based curricula utilized by the Center's multi-faceted program is recognized by the Sonoma County Upstream Investments portfolio program.- 75% of participants completed 10 weeks of art and the post-measure "skillstreaming checklist"- 100% of these participants reported an increase in beginning social skills- 100% reported an increase in advanced social skills- 100% reported an increase in skills for dealing with feelings- 100% reported an increase in skills alternatives to aggression- 100% reported an increase in skills for dealing with stress- 100% reported an increase in planning skills

The Center provides targeted case management to low income unemployed adults with dependent children who are eligible under the CalWORKS program- Job Search Services (JSS) 27 referrals received- 100% of active participants gained employment- Community Service (CSV) 6 referrals received- 33% gained work experience in community service settings, and 100% gained employment.
