The ‘History, Community and Me’ project is of long term benefit to meet the California education standards by early education of children to understand how the built environment contributes to their community identity

Valley of the Moon context statements will educate the public about Sonoma Valley history and historic resources.
Historic contexts link the built environment to history, they provide a mechanism to prioritize historic resources, Historic contexts identify associated property types with their character defining features, they establish evaluation criteria and integrity thresholds, and most importantly historic contexts provide a framework for evaluating resources individually and as district contributors for listing in the National Register of Historic Places, the California Register of Historical Resources, as well as local registers.

The Sonoma Mountain Cemetery project objective is to create five distinct storytelling media that will collectively capture a physical, historical and cultural account of this heritage property for preservation and promotion purposes.Review the catalog of historic images and supplement these with new images designed to capture both the cemetery’s beauty and its current condition, in order to create a comprehensive photographic reference resource.
