What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Program 1

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION - Have served over 340,000 children and adults throughout Solano County and the Bay Area since the inception of the program. However due to Covid-19 restrictions our education program closed down in February and we received no further funding from this program. But we continued to reach the public through our very popular Facebook page which expanded to 3,300 followers and regularly reach 6,000 people on our posts. T%he intention of our posts is to expand our membership and at the same time provide natural history education. Plans for 2021 are to expand into multi-media internet classed.

WILDLIFE REHABILITATION - Treatment of 723 wild birds and animals brought in from Solano County residents and emergency services - with a 70.4% survival rate in 2020. The Center had a devastating wild fire in early June which destroyed several outside enclosures and caused the death of several animals. Efforts toward recovery highlighted the second half of the year. The Center continued to operate during the Covid-19 shutdown but with reduced volunteers. Public access was also discontinued. Almost 19,000 birds and animals have been released back to the wild since the inception of the program. The increased expenses are due to the rebuilding effort after the fire. The large revenue came in from generous donations in response to the fire and also for the Covid-19 challenges.
