CENTER FOR DEMOCRACY IN THE AMERICAS

aka CDA   |   Washington, DC   |  www.democracyinamericas.org

Mission

The Center for Democracy in the Americas (CDA) is a non-partisan 501(c)(3) not-for-profit institution that promotes a U.S. policy toward Cuba based on engagement and recognition of Cuba's sovereignty and relations with Latin America based on mutual respect. Since its founding in 2006, CDA has stood for the proposition that normalized relations with Cuba is in the U.S. national interest and that normalization offers the best opportunity for Cubans to write the next chapter in their own country's future.

Cuba Program

Through bipartisan outreach, strategic advocacy, research publications, our weekly "Cuba Central News Brief," and by arranging people-to-people delegations between prominent U.S. and Cuban officials, CDA works to build understanding among key stakeholders and the general public that the normalization of relations between both nations is in the interest of the U.S., Cuba, and Latin America.
