What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

VNHELP’s programs are aimed at developing the fundamentals in life. We provide our beneficiaries with the tools they need to master their own futures.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Street Children Centers and Orphanages

Each day, thousands of children roam the streets of Vietnam, unsure of where their next meal will come from.
Our goal at VNHELP is to not only give these children the chance to succeed through education and livelihood support, but also a reason to believe.

Population(s) Served

According to AusAid, just one-quarter of Vietnamese students go on to pursue higher education. We believe that the ability to get a college education should not be dependent on one’s ability to pay, so we provide one-year and four-year scholarships to university students from impoverished backgrounds.

Population(s) Served

It’s hard to obtain an education when there’s no school in sight. To get the classroom to the kids, our on-going school construction project builds primary and kindergarten schools in impoverished communities.

Population(s) Served

To help students acquire skills that will help them succeed in the workforce, we fund vocational programs that are cross-sectoral and supply-driven. Additionally, we assist students with food and board while they are in training.

Population(s) Served

HEALTH CLINICS.
VNHELP sponsors health clinics in Nam Dinh, Da Nang, Hue, and Rach Gia cities. These clinics serve between 70 – 400 patients a day.

VISION FOR THE POOR.
To help people restore their site, our Vision for the Poor program teams up with well-qualified foreign and Vietnamese doctors to perform free surgeries and post-op care for cataract patients.

Population(s) Served

The lack of basic infrastructure can make commuting a daily struggle for those with disabilities, and public and private facilities have no accommodations for those who need it. We distribute free wheelchairs to disabled individuals so they can get their lives going.

Population(s) Served

With cleaner water flowing through their pipes and wells, the poor in Vietnam can tend to their water consumption, business, and agricultural needs without fear of being stricken ill by dirty water related disasters.
VNHELP’s water projects connect local people to clean water sources. We are dedicated to sustainable development.

Population(s) Served

Microloans have become an increasingly popular and effective way of addressing Vietnam’s poverty issue. With small loans ranging from $50 to $400, VNHELP’s microloan recipients gain much needed seed money to begin a new business or scale an existing enterprise.
