Mission

To promote healing, truth, and personal transformation through integration of embodied worship, spiritual discipline and devotion, creating an engaged spirituality in service to social justice.

SHARANYA means Sanctuary. We promote change through integration of embodied worship, devotion, and spiritual practice. We empower seeds of change on individual, collective, and planetary levels towards healing, respect, responsibility, and the fullest awareness of an interconnected, interrelated cosmic reality that catalyzes social justice through personal transformation.

Our vision is of a harmonious global community where our inherent divinity--the essence of male and female--is welcomed, balanced, sustained, honored, and celebrated as quintessential to creation. Through open hearts and a deep commitment, we create a compassionate space to engage spirituality that brings Devi, Goddess, home to each one of us.

Annual Kali Puja Festival

SHARANYA holds worship services regularly, offers educational forums, and performs rites of passage rituals, such as handfastings, commitment ceremonies, and other life-event celebrations. We also offer annual pilgrimages to sacred sites around the globe. Our leaders are community activists, therapists, scholars, and educators committed to building alliances and teaching across differences. Our educational program is called Daughters of Kali, serving women and men of all backgrounds and ages interested in learning more about practices for the attainment of spiritual well-being. Participation may lead to initiation and furtherance of one's commitment through ordination.
