What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Workforce Development Innitiative
The Anthesis Workforce Development Initiative includes Supported Employment and Employment Placement Services. Building on Integration programming, and strengths-based skill development, Supported Employment is ideal for participants who are ready to work in groups, increase independence, and take steps toward transitions to natural supports. Anthesis provides both on-site job coaching or transitional assistance as the program develops the skills needed to maintain employment. Employment Placement helps participants develop job/career goals that match their unique skills, interests, and abilities, with opportunities to experience varied employment settings. Anthesis achieves an extremely high placement rate for participants in our Employment Placement Services programs of at least 90%. Our participants average at least 6.6 years in their employment placement. This retention rate nearly doubles the industry standards (4.3 years for Men and 3.8 years for Women).
Community Integration Innitiative
The Anthesis Community Integration Initiative, centered by community-based supports, includes programs for adult and senior day programs, transition to employment programming, community clubs and more. Integration programs function as a home base for many of our participants, and a bridge to the community, employment opportunities, basic needs, and well-being. We transport participants from their residences to program and job sites, volunteer engagements, outings that empower, and throughout the community in fully integrated settings. Programming maintains a person-centered philosophy throughout a diverse range of activities, by which we develop foundational social skills, protective factors, health and safety, and self-advocacy. From higher education to craft making, swimming and fishing, to vocational training and social enterprises, this programming ensures participants live their best lives.
BLOOM Social Enterprise Innitiative
The Anthesis Bloom Social Enterprise Initiative, propels a progressive system of customized employment services, poised to ring in the new era of inclusion in the disability community. Innovators like Anthesis must develop, and incubate, new learning models when varied yet specialized skills are required to meet the needs of the workforce. Social enterprises allow us to build strengths-based supportive learning labs where participants can prepare for transitions into more diverse and complex settings. In truth, Anthesis has been sustained by social enterprises before the term was coined; our Thrift Store, maintenance and yard services, art and craft sales are examples of person-centered, participant-driven enterprises that have amplified the voices and unique abilities of our population.
