Anaheim Ballet's mission is to enlighten and entertain audiences with classically rooted programming and contemporary presentation. Anaheim Ballet provides quality performances to audiences of balletomanes as well as novice ballet-goers and acts as a haven to talented Southern California artists and as a magnet to international talents. Anaheim Ballet's Educational Outreach and Scholarship STEP-UP! program is committed to the promotion of classical ballet and providing its numerous benefits to those otherwise not able to receive them.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

STEP-UP! Outreach Program

STEP-UP! is Anaheim Ballet’s community educational outreach program.  Activities at no cost to the disadvantaged include: daily technique classes, career track scholarship classes, master classes, field trips, school bus-in performances, summer intensive training scholarships, performance opportunities and career counseling. Students acquire classical ballet dance skills, and values associated with that training: self-discipline, physical strength and flexibility, problem solving and persistence.

Population(s) Served

Anaheim Ballet endeavors to reach non-dance audiences. To that end, AB has created Street View Dance. Street View Dance consists of short performances in unlikely settings: Downtown Disney, the Packing District, on the sidewalks of Downtown Anaheim. Anaheim Ballet also produces bus-in performances for students of the Anaheim City School District. Most of these students have never attended live dance concerts (85% are free lunch dependents) or visited a performing arts venue.

Population(s) Served

Anaheim Ballet School trains recreational and pre-professional ballet students, providing classes for both you and adults. Additional programs include annual recital and summer intensive programs.
